More DC Pics

Tulips at the Botanical Gardens and the family at the temple in DC.

Spring Break 2012

We went to Washington DC this year for spring break. We had a lot of fun seeing all sorts of museums, buildings and monuments. The flowers were beautiful and we really enjoyed the outdoors as the weather was wonderful. The Arboritum had big beautiful camillas, some of which looked painted. The tulips at the Botanical Gardens and the DC temple were amazing. As we drove places in DC, I would point out different buildings to the children. After a couple of days, on the way to the temple, I asked if anyone knew what big building we were passing was and Daniel replied, "The United States of Everything!" (Turns out it was the US Army building.)

Conference quote

I love the way this quote by Boyd K. Packer is worded: "The ultimate end of all activity in the Church is to see a husband and his wife and their children happy at home, protected by the principles and laws of the gospel, sealed safely in the covenants of the everlasting priesthood."

Thanksgiving

Our Thanksgiving was an amazing time where we played games with friends, stuffed ourselves with delicious food and gave thanks for all our blessings.

Jello Salad with whipped cream and rasberries. Yum!

Sis. Lulows Orange rolls are a Thanksgiving favorite.

I arranged the rolls. They were really good.

The punches were both amazing and were gone so fast we had to make a third punch.

The pies were the best ever!!!

The apple had the perfect golden crust. It was amazing!!!
The pumpkin pie, banana cream pie, and turkey cupcakes were made by Sis. Ludlow.

In the bottom right corner there is the very berry pie.

Here are the decorations mom put up.

This one is my favorite.

Thanksgiving is now over and we have started for Christmas already. Happy Holidays!

Mom and Dad's Cruise

Here are some pics. More will come with details of the cruise :)

This is Freeport in The Bahamas. The background picture shows conch shells being used for erosion control on the side of the road.
This is our room on the ship. Every night they put a different towel animal on our bed.
These are some of our favorite pictures from the cruise.
More pictures of Freeport, the waves were hitting the reef and going up 40 feet in the air.

We spent 4 1/2 hours at the USS Yorktown. We loved seeing a dolphin, the engine room and a recipe for making 10,000 chocolate chip cookies.
